Public Works Director David Jones announced this afternoon that today’s snowstorm will require the closing of the city’s Solid Waste Landfill facility for the entire day tomorrow and that the closure will not impact curbside solid waste or recycling pickup. Jones reported that additional snow plowing operations will last through tomorrow and require that the facility remain closed so Public Work crews can clear the area for public use on Wednesday. Jones expects that enough progress will be made tomorrow to get streets cleared and expects the facility to reopen as scheduled on Wednesday morning.
